Designer, Producer
Sam is an architect and choreographer based in London. He joined Equinox Festival in 2019 and became producer in 2021.

Festival Director Samuel Rees is an architect, choreographer, and former ballet dancer.
He studied at The Royal Ballet School in London and was a member of the Royal Danish Ballet from 2014 to 2019, where he performed in the company's entire classical and modern repertoire. He also distinguished himself as a choreographer and director on various new productions, including Hungry For Blue, Corps, You Are Here, Allerede Nat, and several short works for the company's Ballet Festival.
After leaving the company, Samuel studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy, where he graduated with a masters degree in Cultural Heritage, Transformation and Restoration. Today he works as an architect in London.
At the same time, he continues as a choreographer at Equinox Festival, where he has created several works, including Saffron Dusk in collaboration with Elenora Morris and composer Bushra El-Turk.
