Elena is a freelance contemporary dancer based in Copenhagen.

  Elena is a contemporary dancer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She began her journey at the age of 2, training in classical ballet and ballroom/Latin dance, and she has since transitioned into the contemporary genre. She trained at the Royal Danish Ballet School in Odense and completed her BA at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam in 2020. During her studies, Elena did her internship with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and continued her professional journey as a company dancer at Holstebro Dance Company from 2020 to 2022. There, she toured in productions including The Danish Girl by Tim Rushton, A Rebel Never Dies by Jacob Stage, Sandmanden by Jonas Corell, Vita Danica by Sargun Oshana, and Månesang by Marie Brolin

  Since then, she has worked nationally and internationally as a freelance dancer, performing in Sun with the Czech-based company Burkicom, Prometeo with the Spanish company Otradanza, The In between by the Swiss based Chrographer Neil Höhener and collaborating with Mikkel Alexander on Grey Zone and Wrinkles.

  Additionally, together with Jasmin Gordon, she co-choreographed and performed Bølgernes Musik with the Aarhus-based Ensemble Hermes.
